Related to my Ukiyo-e.org and Digital Humanities work I’ve been getting more involved with using Computer Vision analysis to search and process large collections of images. Some of this work has resulted in Open Source contributions or libraries that others can use in their work.

• Pastec — I’ve made some contributions to Pastec, an image similarity engine, mainly in the form of supporting self-querying images (avoiding unnecessary duplicate uploads).
• Node Pastec — A Node.js library for querying a Pastec service for image similarity information.
• Node MatchEngine — A Node.js library for query the commercial MatchEngine service for image similarity information.
