peschler (May 6, 2008 at 1:04 pm)
You are going to release a canvas based Java Script graph/drawing library!
I suppose it will be small and fast, but you can do pretty large things with it…
jaredmellentine (May 6, 2008 at 1:10 pm)
Large and small and pretty and fast.
Do it. Just do it. Do it now. 3, 2, 1. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Do it. Don’t think just do it.
From Episode 416 “Did I Stutter?”: http://www.nbc.com/The_Office/video/episodes.shtml
John Resig (May 6, 2008 at 1:12 pm)
@jaredmellentine: Love The Office. Notice what library that page uses, as well? :-)

Adam Sanderson (May 6, 2008 at 1:42 pm)
If large and pretty is the canvas stuff you have been previewing (I assume it’s canvas stuff anyways) then I’d love to see that. Otherwise small and pretty with a dash of fast please :)
Mistah P (May 6, 2008 at 1:47 pm)
Making us choose? You’re so mean like that. Can’t it be both?
Daniel (May 6, 2008 at 1:59 pm)
Small and Large!
Iraê (May 6, 2008 at 2:16 pm)
Large and Pretty!
Marc Diethelm (May 6, 2008 at 2:23 pm)
Although ‘large and pretty’ would be probably quite impressive and spikes my curiosity more than the other option, I choose small and fast: It might be something I will use right away to impress prospective customers ;)
Either way, thank you!
Paul Kelley (May 6, 2008 at 2:29 pm)
large and pretty!
Shaun Hare (May 6, 2008 at 2:37 pm)
Large & pretty — keep us going for a while!

FridayThursday i’m in lovetzJQz (May 6, 2008 at 3:01 pm)
All of the above!
Seriously though, need more multiple choices.
Make it cutting edge, Top Secret NASA type stuff!!
Yusuf (May 6, 2008 at 3:11 pm)
John, I vote for small and fast. Hope it sizzles :)
George (May 6, 2008 at 3:31 pm)
Small and Fast. Definitely small and fast.
Wade Harrell (May 6, 2008 at 3:35 pm)
totally off topic, (assuming this is not in your plans) what are your $0.02 on http://blog.nihilogic.dk/2008/05/compression-using-canvas-and-png.html ?
J.W (May 6, 2008 at 3:44 pm)
Something large and pretty I think… jQueryUI I hope ;)
John Resig (May 6, 2008 at 3:46 pm)
@Wade: All of his stuff is gold. I’m fairly certain I could run a blog that does nothing but explain how each of his hacks work. As far as “real world use” goes – its speed is much worse than using Packer (I think that says a lot).
Ralph (May 6, 2008 at 4:07 pm)
A REAL programmer would release BOTH!
Konstantin (May 6, 2008 at 4:07 pm)
Btw, on thursday is Johns birthday.
Alex Bilbie (May 6, 2008 at 5:07 pm)
Large and pretty please :)
Visualdensity (May 6, 2008 at 5:14 pm)
How about small and pretty? Either way, I think everyone’s pretty thrilled about it.
And is it true? Thursday is your birthday?
John Resig (May 6, 2008 at 5:40 pm)
@Visualdensity: Yep, it’s true. A little inverse birthday present.
Aristotle Pagaltzis (May 7, 2008 at 1:24 am)
I am surprised that no one has voted for fast and pretty yet.
:-)
Small and fast for me.
Johnny K (May 7, 2008 at 1:59 am)
Don’t mind which of them you release John, but I’m looking forward to finding out.
Roshan Bhattarai (May 7, 2008 at 2:08 am)

No wait… ;)
Marc Diethelm (May 7, 2008 at 10:22 am)
@zardoz, john:
I didn’t expect some kind of spanish inquisition. :)
William Ukoh (May 8, 2008 at 5:24 am)
Happy birthday John! How about both,….”small and fast”, “large and pretty”
Josh Davey (May 8, 2008 at 11:14 am)
Are we receiving a present from you on your birthday? Seems unconventional but I’m not complaining.
John Resig (May 8, 2008 at 12:43 pm)
Update: I’m working away – will definitely have something ready for tonight.
John Resig (May 9, 2008 at 8:59 am)
